A rare clear day with dormant Hualalai volcano visible all the way to its peak of 8000 feet. Lavender sunset colors reflected softy off the clouds onto Kailua Bay. My home is just to the left of the white church steeple in the heart of Kailua-Kona.

It had been stormy all day while a front passed through and I was working inside when I looked out and saw that the sky had suddenly cleared and the sunset was going off! I quickly grabbed my camera and ran outside firing off as many shots as I could without paying particular attention to my camera settings. Luckily, a few shots came out okay. This and the next shot were the best that came out of the series...
